Prosecutor: Man employed as mascot for Sesame Place, Great Adventure accused of sex abuse of child

A man who has been employed as a costumed character and mascot for a variety of New Jersey businesses has been accused of sexual assault and making child pornography.

The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office says that Don-Diego Parkman, 19, dressed as costumed characters and mascots for Six Flags Great Adventure, the New Jersey Devils, the Somerset Patriots and most recently Sesame Place in Pennsylvania.

Parkman faces several charges, including one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, one count of first-degree manufacturing child sexual abuse material and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office says that Parkman exchanged sexually explicit messages and photos with a preteen girl from Missouri.

He was arrested at his Hamilton home without incident and faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
