Prosecutor: Man charged for Newark shooting that left 1 dead, 3 injured

Officials say that Antuane Gregory, 42, faces several charges, including murder, attempted murder and aggravated assault for the April 15 shooting.

An Irvington man has been charged in connection with a shooting that left one man dead and three people injured in Newark, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Officials say that Antuane Gregory, 42, faces several charges, including murder, attempted murder and aggravated assault.
The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. on April 15. Police responded to reports of shots fired on the 400 block of Leslie Street in Newark. Four people were found suffering from gunshot wounds.
The prosecutor says that all four were taken to the hospital and 43-year-old Corey Beasley was pronounced dead. The conditions of the other three victims were not immediately known.
Gregory is currently in police custody.
