Prosecutor: Health improving of puppy found starving in Neptune
A puppy found emaciated and starving in Neptune over the weekend is improving.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office says that the 8-week-old pit bull mix named Matilda has come a long way. They say that she is eating and even socializing with other dogs.
The puppy was found near Myrtle Avenue. Officials say that she was very thin and was shaking.
Law enforcement officers are looking for whoever left her alone. Anyone who might have information is asked to call Monmouth SPCA investigators at 732-440-1539.
The SPCA is also taking donations to help care for Matilda. More information can be found HERE.
