Prosecutor: Area deemed safe following report of bomb threat in Cliffside Park

The threat was reported around 12:41 p.m. Friday near Anderson and Kearney avenues.

Officials say that there is no danger following reports of a bomb threat in Cliffside Park Friday afternoon.
The threat was reported around 12:41 p.m. Friday near Anderson and Kearney avenues. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office says that the area was swept and searched by the county bomb squad and it was determined that there were no threats to the public.
Residents were allowed back to their homes around 5:30 p.m.
Investigators will now work to determine who made the threat and why.
