The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating a shooting at a Perth Amboy bar that left six people hospitalized.
Police responding to reports of shots fired at El Patio Bar on Fayette Street found the victims around 12:40 a.m. Monday. Prosecutors say all six were taken to hospitals for treatment of apparent gunshot wounds that were not considered life-threatening.
It was not currently known what led to the shooting, or how many suspects are involved.
Authorities are asking anyone with information or surveillance footage of the area to call Detective Manuel Lopez of the Perth Amboy Police Department at 732-324-3856 or Detective Mark Morris of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office at 732-745-3927.
