Prosecutor: 3 Perth Amboy campaign workers indicted on election law violations

Three Perth Amboy campaign workers have been indicted in connection with election fraud, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Officials say Ana Camilo, 62, Annet Sanchez, 52, and Maria Peralta, 60, all of Perth Amboy, were indicted for bribery, witness tampering and election law violations.
They say that the trio offered gift cards to voters in return for completed mail-in ballots that contained votes for their chosen candidate.
The prosecutor’s office did not state which candidate the trio worked for or what their political affiliation was.
It is illegal under New Jersey law to offer any inducements for voting for a particular candidate.
