Three people have been arrested and charged with allegedly tampering with a crime scene following a fatal shooting in Jersey City.
Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez says that 23-year-old Davonte Carswell was shot at around 1 p.m. Sunday in Jersey City.
She says police believe his body was moved inside of the Los Yoleros Mini Market Deli by workers there.
Three people inside the deli were arrested and charged with tampering with physical evidence and possession of gambling records. Suarez says police found a gambling operation inside of the business.
None of those three people are believed to be involved in the shooting, and no motive has been identified.
