A three-car crash in North Bergen left two people in the hospital.

The Hudson County prosecutor says it happened Thursday afternoon at the corner of Tonnelle Avenue and 85th Street.

Officials say Steven Reyes was driving drunk in his Ford SUV when he hit a Volkswagen and Hyundai.

The prosecutor says the driver and passenger of the Hyundai – both over the age of 70 – suffered life-threatening injuries. They are both in the hospital in stable condition.

Reyes was charged with driving while intoxicated.
