New changes to how drivers get around town in Lake Como could take
effect in time for summer, as some beach towns are already preparing for a busy summer.
Here is a list of proposed parking changes in Lake Como:
Newman Street: One way
southbound from May 15th to Oct. 15, or year-round.
17th Avenue: One
way year-round.
18th Avenue: No
parking south side of Main Street to New Bedford Road year round/24 hours a
day.
On May 15th,
The towns summer traffic pattern goes into effect on May 15. A few years
ago, Belmar did away with the off-season traffic patterns and kept many of the
one-way roads in effect year-round.
Renters, landlords, homeowners, and Lake Como's borough council wants
your input. You can discuss the changes via Zoom at their workshop meeting
Tuesday night.
