Construction on a new Hudson River tunnel will start “sooner than you think,” the project’s CEO said today.
Gateway Development Commission CEO Kris Kolluri spoke exclusively to News 12 about progress on the project.
"We are now about to embark on the next set of tunnels because it’s the right decision for the 21st century," Kolluri said.
Kolluri was in Monroe Wednesday morning for the New Jersey Alliance for Action Transportation Conference.
Gov. Phil Murphy also addressed the conference, saying the state will make good use of federal infrastructure dollars.
“So, when we invest in our roads, bridges, and public transit systems—when we invest in helping our families get where they need to be, on time—what we are really investing in is our quality of life,” Gov. Murphy said.
