Production was expected to begin today for the anticipated spinoff of MTV's hit reality TV series "Jersey Shore." However, sources now say that it may be Friday or Saturday before cameras roll, though producers would not confirm.
The spinoff will follow Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley as they live and play in Jersey City.
The show is expected to take place in the old Mercer Street firehouse across from City Hall. Production crew members at the location today refused to talk about the upcoming show.
MTV and the show's production company had originally applied for filming permits in Hoboken, but were denied by Mayor Dawn Zimmer.
