Gov. Phil Murphy signed the budget last weekend, but he used his veto pen to cut $50 million in legislative appropriations. For now, the Legislature doesn't appear interested in overriding the vetoes. Brent Johnson, who covers the statehouse for NJ Advance Media, joins News 12's Alex Zdan to discuss.
And Jack Ciatarelli is a former assemblyman who sought the Republican nomination for governor in 2017. Since then he's campaigned for local GOP candidates and said he's planning to challenge Gov. Murphy in 2021. He visits the show to talk about his plans and the state of the GOP in New Jersey.
