As April's celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month comes to an end, News 12 New Jersey's Brian Donohue visited the Institute for Jazz Studies on Rutgers University's Newark campus
Since 2018, the institute has housed a mind-blowing collection of Basie artifacts and records. Donated to the Institute by the Basie estate, the photos, records, documents, sheet music, clothing and even furniture provide a "360 degree" look at the life of one of New Jersey's favorite sons.
