A rescued rhesus monkey has a new home at Popcorn Park Animal Refuge in Forked River.
The monkey, named Forrest, was one of eight that escaped after a truck crash on the way to a research facility in Mississippi.
Forrest was recovered after nearly a week on the run.
Because he was outside during that time, the facility would no longer take him. Popcorn Park has been giving sanctuary to displaced and neglected animals since the 1970s.
