Parts of New Jersey saw record-breaking warm temperatures on Monday. These hotter conditions will be followed by the chance of pop-up rain showers tonight.
Temperatures reached the upper-80s and low-90s in some areas. The best part of this kind of heat is very little atmospheric moisture. Meaning it wasn't muggy. Just pleasant warmth.
Can we keep it going another day? Probably not. A system will lumber through the area tonight and tomorrow altering the temps back to the 60s and also kicking up a few clouds and some storms.
TONIGHT: After early storms, we'll be left with partly cloudy skies and patchy fog. On the mild side. Lows expected to be in the upper-50s.
TUESDAY: Most of the day will be in and out of clouds. Probably more clouds than sunshine, but fairly pleasant. Highs around 65. After 7 p.m., a line of showers and storms will zip through the state.
WEDNESDAY: A mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the upper-60s.
THURSDAY/FRIDAY: Nothing but sunshine and temperatures in the low-70s.
WEEKEND: Still time to fine-tune those details. As it stands now, both days with some clouds with on-and-off showers possible. Not a washout, but possibly wet.
