Gov. Chris Christie was not implicated in the scheme to shut down lanes of the George Washington Bridge for political retribution in indictments handed down Friday, but that hasn't stopped people from believing that he was involved.

A Monmouth University poll of 500 New Jersey residents conducted from Friday through Sunday found that half believe Christie was personally involved in the decision to close the toll lanes. Sixty-nine percent don't believe he's been completely honest about what he knew.

Less than one in 10 believe the three individuals who've been charged in the scheme were the only ones involved.

Several recent polls have found Christie's job approval rating in the state has also sunk to an all-time low. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 percentage points.
