Prosecutors: Middletown BOE member arrested on gun charges
17h agoA 12-year-old boy was shot late Friday night in Newark, police say.
The incident happened around 10 p.m. on 17th Avenue in the Central Ward.
The child was taken to University Hospital.
He has now been treated, released and is recovering today.
Anyone with any information about the shooting is asked to contact to police.
