A Wyckoff man is accused of stealing hundreds of dollars worth of copper wire in Paramus.
Police say Kevin Lovel was seen on security camera using a hammer to smash the padlock off a storage room door on North State Highway in Paramus.
This was the third copper wire theft from this location this month. Officials say that police recognized Lovell from previous incidents.
He was charged with burglary and theft.
