Police say a string of attacks has victimized 11 women in northern New Jersey since June of last year.
According to police, two of the most recent attacks occurred earlier in the week, one in Englewood and one in Leonia.
Authorities say on Tuesday a person driving by Decatur and West Forest avenues called police when a man in his 20s grabbed a woman by the neck and tried to force her to the ground. According to the witness, the woman was able to escape. Englewood police are now searching for the suspect and the victim.
Also on Tuesday, police say a woman in her 50s was grabbed in Leonia and pushed to the ground.
Authorities say the two recent attacks are similar to nine others in the past 10 months. Those attacks occurred in Lodi and Hackensack.
