A woman driving her car in a parking lot hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes slammed into a 7-Eleven in Roselle – leaving behind lots of damage, according to officials.
The employees say the accident happened around 10 p.m. Thursday.
According to police, a woman was driving her car into the parking lot and was about to park, but hit the gas instead of the brake – going right through the window.
Many of the products inside were destroyed, and the front doors are gone. Despite this, the shop remained open.
“I was surprised when I came this morning,” says customer John Hoating. “I saw the big gap. I thought it was purposely done. Someone lost control of the vehicle."
The employees say it’s about $5,000 or $6,000 worth of damage inside. They say the woman driving the car is a regular customer and that they know her very well.
No injuries were reported.
