Police: Woman bit officer, resisted arrest
A Sussex County woman is accused of biting a police officer.
Franklin Borough police say that officers received reports of an erratic driver near the Irish Cottage Inn on Highway 23.
Police say that when officers arrived in the area, they found 26-year-old Jordana Capiello arguing with another person. Capiello allegedly claimed to have ties to the Latin Kings street gang, and became very aggressive with officers, according to officials.
Police say that Capiello began shouting and using profanity and then bit Officer Nicholas Della Fera on the shoulder as officers tried to arrest her. Police say that Officer Della Fera’s shoulder was bruised due to the bite. He was treated at newton Medical Center.
Capiello was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
