Florham Park police officer charged with aggravated assault, stalking

A West Milford man is accused of smashing the windshield of a police car in Wayne Township.

Evan Gonzalez, 27, was arrested along Hamburg Turnpike.

Police say they received reports of a man throwing rocks at parked cars near the Park Wayne Diner over the weekend.

When police officers approached Gonzales, he allegedly threw a rock at the cruiser.

Gonzalez was being held at the Passaic County Jail pending a detention hearing.
