Police: Suspect arrested for fatal shooting of Bayonne man in Manhattan

Authorities say Javier Osorio-Mejia was found with a gunshot wound to his right thigh at around 5 a.m. on June 25.

A New York resident is facing charges for the fatal shooting of a Bayonne man in Manhattan, according to police.
Authorities say Javier Osorio-Mejia was found with a gunshot wound to his right thigh at around 5 a.m. on June 25.
He was transported to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
Police say they arrested Jayquan Straker on Thursday.
In addition to murder, he has been charged with robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
