Service has been restored now that repairs have been made to a water main on Route 28 in Middlesex Borough.
New Jersey American Water said that about 30 businesses and homes were impacted by the break.
The break happened Monday evening near Route 28 and Greene Avenue. The break happened where an 8-inch main intersects with a 36-inch main.
The break resulted in the closure of Union Avenue near Elmwood Avenue. Police say that the roads have since been reopened.
