Police say a professor at Rutgers Medical School died during a shooting.
They say Dr. Mark Quadrel was fatally shot by his 24-year-old son, who is now facing homicide charges.
Officers were called to a Pennsylvania home and say they found the doctor's body. He had been shot several times in the head and torso.
A 12-year-old was also grazed by a bullet, but is said to have recovered.
The dean of Rutgers Medical School released a statement that says, "His passing is a significant loss to our medical school. We extend our deepest sympathy to Mark's family, friends, colleagues, patients, and all those whose lives he touched."
