New Jersey State Police say a pilot died Tuesday after a single-engine plane crashed at Woodbine Airport in Cape May County.
The crash happened just after 2 p.m. The pilot was the only person on board.
Police say that the plane was a Mooney M20C fixed wing.
The name and age of the pilot was not immediately released.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
