Hasbrouck Heights authorities say a police officer is recovering after a crash early Tuesday morning.

The collision happened at Terrace and Franklin avenues, leaving the cruiser and another car badly damaged.

The department has not said what caused the crash.

The injured officer was not identified, and neither was the driver of the other car.
