Authorities say a 37-year-old man has been taken into custody for using a stun gun on an off-duty police officer at a northern New Jersey pizza shop on Halloween.
NJ.com reports the officer was eating at Rome Pizzeria in Hoboken when a man sat down next to him in a seat that was already taken.
When the officer began to speak to the man about the seat, he was surrounded by a group of other men. Police say Miguel Figueroa used a stun gun to shock the officer.
The Hoboken man was arrested Wednesday and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a stun gun and possession of a weapon for unlawful use.
It's unclear if he has an attorney who could comment on the charges.
