Trenton police arrested a man accused of stealing a dog at gunpoint on Oct. 2.

Brian Howard, 36, is accused of going up to a person who was walking their puppy along Academy Street and trying to take the leash. But police say the victim fought back. This is when Howard allegedly waved a gun, grabbed the leash and ran off with the dog.

Howard faces robbery, weapons and stalking charges.

The dog was found safe and is back with her owner.
