Police: Man fatally struck by NJ Transit train at Red Bank crossing

A man was fatally struck by an NJ Transit train in Red Bank on Saturday afternoon, according to police.
Authorities say officers responded a call of a pedestrian being struck at the crossing on Bridge Avenue and Monmouth Street shortly after 1:30 p.m.
Police say officers perfomed life saving measures on 39-year-old Anthony Depalma upon finding him.
Depalma was taken to Riverview Medical Center where he died.
