Union County officials have made an arrest in a series of arson fires.
Authorities say that Marcus Wise, 30, is accused of setting fire to a vacant house on Seymour Avenue in Linden.
The Roselle man also allegedly set a fire at a nearby doctor's office on Northwood Avenue and a handful of other brush and garage fires. Wise was apparently caught that night throwing rocks into a building, according to investigators.
Police say they found him with a lighter, a piece of cardboard and a can of WD-40.
Wise is facing up to 10 years in prison for multiple charges including arson, burglary and criminal mischief.
He is currently being held at Union County Jail and is awaiting an evaluation before his next hearing, which is scheduled for next Friday.
