Police say a Hasbrouck Heights man is facing charges for allegedly assaulting and robbing a Maywood dry cleaning business.

Authorities say the incident happened May 9 when Shawn Todd, 53, went into Timely Cleaners on West Pleasant Avenue and assaulted the owner while demanding money. Police say he got away with $400 in cash.

Officials say police identified Todd as a suspect after recognizing him from prior arrests. Todd was seen walking on East Passaic Street the following day and was arrested.

Todd is facing multiple charges, including robbery, aggravated assault and theft.
