‘Like I'm in a river.’ Water line leak floods streets in Soundview

Police rescued a woman being held against her will by her ex-boyfriend who they say locked her in a crawl space in Atlantic City on Friday.

According to authorities, Gary Lockel forced the woman into a crawl space at an apartment on Absecon Boulevard.

When they arrived, the 54-year-old initially refused to leave the apartment and began to barricade himself before being taken into custody.

Police say Lockel threatened to kill the victim, who was treated on the scene for minor injuries.

Lockel faces several charges, including terroristic threats and assault.
