Police have made an arrest in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Paterson.
Robert Sciubba, 46, of Randolph, was arrested and charged with knowingly leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in serious bodily injury.
Official say that on Sept. 27, Sciubba was driving a blue Ford F-150 pickup truck near the intersection of Madison and 16th avenues. They say Sciubba struck a 29-year-old woman and then fled the scene. The woman was seriously injured, but has since been released from the hospital and is expected to be OK.
The Passaic County prosecutor released a surveillance photo earlier this week of the truck suspected of striking the pedestrian. A citizen recognized the truck and called police, which led them to Sciubba.
Sciubba's bail was set at $35,000.
