Police in Monmouth County are investigating the death of a person found in Middletown Monday night.

Authorities have not released much information about the situation, but say that there is no reason for residents to be alarmed.

The cause and manner of death are pending a toxicology report.

Police blocked off traffic on Ocean Avenue between Thompson Avenue and Pine Street Monday night while investigators worked.
