Police: Hackensack woman dumps boiling water on man during dispute

A Hackensack woman is facing charges after police say she dumped boiling water on a man during an argument.

Evelyn Sampson, 62, was charged with aggravated assault for the Wednesday morning incident.

Police say they were called to Leigh Street for the assault. They say a 69-year-old man told officers that Sampson dumped the boiling water on him amid a dispute they were having.

The man was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Sampson was being held at the Bergen County Jail ahead of a court appearance.
