Officials say that a 14-year-old boy who went missing in Barnegat Thursday evening has been found.

Michael Briganti was last seen around 5 p.m. Thursday when he ran away from home into the woods. 

Police did not provide many details about his disappearance, but say that he was found safe Friday afternoon.

A large search effort was put into place once the teen went missing. Dozens of police and firefighters were out searching the areas near Village Drive and Keel Court in town.
