Police cracking down on license plate fraud; 100s of fines issued

Officials say eight people have been arrested for license plate fraud.

Port Authority officials say they are cracking down on "ghost tags,” the nickname for fake license plates and tags being used to avoid paying tolls.
So far, police say they've issued hundreds of fines and confiscated plates from dozens of cars at the Lincoln Tunnel, Triborough Bridge and the George Washington Bridge.
Officials say eight people have been arrested for license plate fraud.
