Police: Borgata Hotel briefly evacuated after caller claims to have bomb

Atlantic City police say that a call came in just before 4 p.m. from a man claiming that he was armed inside the Borgata.

The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City was briefly evacuated on Thursday after a caller claimed to be armed with a gun and explosives.
Atlantic City police say that a call came in just before 4 p.m. from a man claiming that he was inside the Borgata and in possession of guns and an explosive device.
The building was briefly evacuated while police and Borgata security conducted a sweep. Police say that no suspicious people or devices were found.
Patrons were allowed back inside a short time later.
Police say they are still investigating the validity of the threat.
