Police in North Jersey say the body of a missing 52-year-old male from Demarest may have been found in Alpine.

Palisades Interstate Parkway Police received a call Tuesday around 6:33 p.m. for a deceased male located near the base of the cliff in the area of State Line Lookout, Alpine.

The Parkway Police responded, along with the East Bergen Rappel Team, Closter Rescue Squad and Bergen County Sheriff BCI.

Officials say the male is currently unidentified but is believed to be a 52-year-old male from Demarest, who went missing at the location on July 20.

The male was removed by the Bergen County Medical Examiner's Office.
