Police: 57-year-old e-bicyclist dies following crash with vehicle in Atlantic City

A 57-year-old bicyclist has died as a result of injuries he sustained in a crash involving a motor vehicle in Atlantic City Wednesday afternoon, police said.

A 57-year-old bicyclist has died as a result of injuries he sustained in a crash involving a motor vehicle in Atlantic City Wednesday afternoon, police said.
According to authorities, police officers were called to the 100-block of North Maryland Avenue at 12:59 p.m. following reports of a bicyclist that was involved in a crash. When they arrived at the location, police found the 57-year-old Atlantic City man suffering from serious injuries.
Crews from the Atlantic City Fire Department and other emergency personnel provided medical assistance. Despite the lifesaving efforts, the bicyclist ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said in a statement. The victim's name has not been released.
The driver of the vehicle that was also involved in the crash is described as a 40-year-old Mount Laurel woman. Police say she remained on the scene following the collision and has been cooperating with investigators. She has not been charged in connection with the incident.
The crash remains under investigation by police and the Atlantic County prosecutor's Office.
