A 5-foot-long snake is now safe after being rescued from a Deptford Township home.
Police were called to a home this weekend for a large snake found in the basement of the home.
The police department originally named the snake “Death Noodle” and released it back into a wooded area.
But police say that they soon learned that the snake was harmless and posed no threat to the homeowners.
The snake was found once again and given a new name – “Julius Squeezer” – and released a photo of it wearing a party hat.
“He’s just a big squirmy teddy bear. Hope this clears the air,” police
wrote on Facebook.
