A 41-year-old man found with gunshot wounds Saturday in Paterson died of his injuries, police say.

Officers were called to Auburn and Ellison streets just before 3 a.m.

Upon arrival, they discovered the victim lying face down at the scene.

The man was later pronounced dead at St. Joseph's University Medical Center.

The Passaic County Prosecutor and Paterson police say the incident remains under investigation.

No other details have been released.
