Two men were critically injured in a shooting in Newark Friday afternoon.

Newark police say the shooting happened just after 5 p.m. on the 400 block of Avon Avenue.

Police say both men were taken to University Hospital. One of the victims is in critical, but stable condition. The other is in critical condition.

No arrests have been made.
