Police in Winslow Township say one person has died after a New Jersey Transit Access Link van and an SUV collided.

The accident happened around 5:45 a.m. at Cross Keys Boulevard at the intersection of Oakland Avenue.

According to NJ Transit, the SUV crossed over the line, hitting the bus head-on.

Police say the person who died was the man driving the SUV. He was airlifted to a hospital, but later succumbed to his injuries.

There were a total of five people involved – three in the SUV and two in the bus.

One person was removed from the wreckage after being trapped for more than a half-hour.
