Police in Cliffside Park released photos Thursday of a missing woman in hopes of finding her.
The photos of 28-year-old Thalia Stathis were taken by an ATM surveillance camera at her bank on September 13. Her co-workers at the Arena Restaurant in Hackensack say Stathis was at work that day, but they haven?t seen her since.
Stathis? co-workers alerted some Hackensack police officers who frequent the diner, who in turn contacted Cliffside Park police officers. According to Detective Captain Michael Russo, when his officers went to Stathis? apartment, they found no signs of her. However, they did find her boyfriend, Hugues Francois.
Police say Francois told them he hadn?t seen Stathis in weeks. Francois was arrested for possessing a crack pipe and failing to register as a sex offender. Police say so far, he is not considered a suspect in Stathis? disappearance.
Authorities say Stathis could often be found driving Francois? 2007 black four-door Honda Accord. They are asking anyone who may have seen her to contact them at (201) 945-3600.
