A man from Perth Amboy has been found guilty of stabbing his wife to death.
Prosecutors said 46‑year‑old Wellington Leonardo was convicted Monday of manslaughter and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child. The stabbing happened in front of the couple’s four daughters, the youngest just 11-months-old.
The incident occurred in Sept. 2024. Officers found the victim, Rosanna Rodriguez, with a dozen stab wounds.
Leonardo remains in the Middlesex County Jail awaiting sentencing.
