At just 5 months old, sibling puppies Mayden and Cayden are a few days away from being euthanized due to overcrowding when they were rescued and brought to Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter.
Part of the same litter, the pups travelled from Tennessee with other siblings. A date for euthanasia had already been set, but through the cooperation of the Bissell Pet Foundation and Pilots to the Rescue, they arrived safely in New Jersey and have been in the care of Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter. Two of their siblings have been adopted and now Mayden and Cayden are looking for furever homes as well.
According to volunteers at the shelter, both energetic pups are great around other dogs and older kids. Cayden has already been neutered and Mayden has been spayed, and both are up-to-date with vaccinations and medical care. Both are playful and friendly and are starting to learn basic commands.
Workers at Mt. Pleasant say they would thrive in loving environments where they can "continue to grow, learn and embrace life to the fullest." Although the shelter would be happy to see a family adopt both dogs together, Mayden and Cayden can be adopted separately.
