Pancake is a big fan of the "cozy lifestyle." At just barely 7 pounds and around 9 years old, this tiny chihuahua/terrier is as gentle as they come. Pancake was rescued from a shelter in Texas and is now being cared for by Northstar Pet Rescue in Boonton. Volunteers say he loves belly rubs, warm blankets and being held. He's very "polite" with new humans and loves soft treats. Volunteers say Pancake is in need or a "furever" home with a patient family willing to help him train to be housebroken. Medically, Pancake has previously suffered two seizures - one at the shelter in Texas and another when he first arrived in foster care. He's on medication now to manage it and has been doing well, according to Northstar. Pancake also has a condition known as luxating patellas. Although it makes him walk a bit quirky, it has no impact on his "day-to-day fun," volunteers say. Northstar volunteers ay anyone wishing to meet this affectionate little pup can go to their website at northstarpets.org.
