Described as "the perfect mix of active and lazy," Boone loves to spend time with people.

Right now, Boone is being cared for by a foster mom, but before that, he called Pitties and Pals Rescue in Jackson his home. Volunteers at the rescue say he's come a long way since his arrival.

"He adores people and thrives on affection. Since healing he loves going on walks and playing in the yard at his foster mom's house," according to his description on the Pitties and Pals website.

A smart pup, Boone is learning new things every day. He's crate trained and housebroken and walks like a champ on a leash. Workers at the rescue say he enjoys walking and playing outside but is just as content snuggling up for a night inside.

Boone is dog friendly, but the rescue recommends introducing him to other dogs to make sure they get along. He's not a fan of cats but does well around older kids and teens.

Anyone interested in meeting or possibly adopting Boone can visit the Pitties and Pals website at https://www.pittiesandpals.com/pets-available.
